Why See The Used?
See the Emo-core legends live
It's hard to believe it's been over 15 years since The Used first burst out of Utah with a burning desire to upset the status quo of their uptight home state. This they achieved and more; the band overcame drug problems and homelessness to lead a generation of kids not content with the radio-friendly pop of the early 2000s and their burning screamo anthems still hold sway today.
Blending post-hardcore, emo and metal to create a musical fury to match singer Bert McCracken's angsty and cathartic lyrics and vocals, the quartet is known for putting on a raucous show, complete with mosh pits and crowd-surfing. There are also quieter moments when their lovelorn ballads encourage the crowd to raise their lighters and sing along, but wear comfortable shoes - this one's a doozy!
